Flaars
A little wander around the garden of the house we are staying in reveals some real delights in the flower department. The garden stretches over two acres down to the sea and because of multiple water channels seeping down underground, it creats a real oasis. In fact it is heaving and is an english jungle at the bottom.
This is a pom pom Dahlia - so perfect it looks like a party decoration!

Hound Tor
Spending a little time in Devon certainly inspires one to take out the camera and shoot. A perfect place is Dartmoor.
Following a visit to a great little pub called The Rock Inn to eat some hearty sandwiches and drink some cider, we drove up to Hound Tor which is the location for this picture.
Hound Tor is a heavily weathered granite outcrop which derived its name from the shapes assumed by the weathered blocks on the summit resembling the heads of dogs. According to local legend it was created when a pack of hounds were turned to stone.
Hound Tor is also the inspiration for Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles.
It was a grey day as you can see but with some good clouds, well cloud porn as some call it....
